Help War Veteran With Home Condemned by SWAT Raid

My name is James McLynas and I ran for Sheriff of Pinellas County Florida as someone that wanted to remove the abusive, over-policing, revenue generation (extortion) and poor attitude of today's police industry from our local Sheriff's office. On 1-14-2021 I witnessed about 50 Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies, including SWAT, an armored troop transport and a helicopter all swarm a 71 year Veterans home and evict him on an order of Condemnation for a leaky roof. 

On 1-14-2021, a Code enforcement officer who has been hounding  Mr. Brian M. for months pulled up out front with his yellow lights flashing and tried to tape a Condemnation Notice on the home and ordered Mr. Brian M. to vacate the premises.  Having nowhere else to go, Brian refused to leave and told the Code enforcement man to get off his property and that he had a gun.   (Code enforcement like law enforcement cannot enter onto your property without a warrant)  Of course Code Enforcement called the Sheriff and the SWAT standoff with a scared 71 year old man ensued with numerous guns pointed at him, deputies surrounding his house and a helicopter buzzing overhead. After a tense hour long standoff, Brian relented and came out of the his home for the last time in the foreseeable future.  Brian's taxes are paid on the property and he has tried to keep it up the best he can on his fixed income and with his poor health. 

This fundraiser is set up to help him with his repairs so he can once again go back to the only home he has.  Your help would be greatly appreciated. 

We need to treat our Veterans with more respect and dignity than this.
