Help Warren Get His New Wheelchair
Donation protected
Windsor Cars and Driven Forward Charity are working together to raise money for a local Windsor man, named Warren. He is such a well-known character in our community and is always helping others, and we wanted to take this opportunity to return the favour and help him.
Warren is in need of a new wheelchair that is custom built to his specific needs and is battery operated to help assist with his mobility. Warren suffers from Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) which caused him to have a severe stroke 15 years ago and left him paralysed on the right side of his body. Since then, Warren has had 6 more strokes which damaged the left side of his brain. 5 years ago, Warren was in an accident which also left him with damage on the right side of the brain. This year, Warren has suffered pneumonia, and experienced an accident which left him with broken ribs. As a result of his PKD, Warren's kidneys have swollen up to 30kg each, and his previous wheelchair is no longer able to assist Warren with his mobility.
Despite all this, you never see him without a smile on his face, and he is known for spreading positivity throughout the community. Warren is always finding ways to help others in the community, and he is always putting others before himself. A new wheelchair will be lifechanging for Warren. It will help him regain the independence and mobility that he once had.
We understand that these are tough times for everyone, but if you can contribute anything at all, then we would really appreciate your help. We only hope that they can help Warren, in the ways that he has helped others in our community.
***We hereby confirm that all funds donated will be used to purchase the modified recumbent e-tricycle for Warren and that any surplus funds will be paid directly to a local charity chosen by Warren.
