My name is Waseem Abd Alnabi, and I'm reaching out for your help to support my family during this incredibly difficult time.

I'm a 27-year-old accountant from Gaza City. I graduated from Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Intermediate Studies, but due to the lack of job opportunities, I was forced to work as a salesman. I live with my family of 10: my two brothers, Subhi (21) and Salam (15), my parents (45 and 55), my sister, her husband, and their three children (5, 4, and 2 years old). As the eldest brother, I am the primary provider for our family, especially since my father is ill and unable to work.

Life in Gaza was already challenging before the 7th of October. We were struggling to have the least of necessities as Gaza has been besieged since 2007 and ongoing Israeli aggressions. I, with my family, was lucky to survive the previous five aggressions but this time I’m not sure. I’m completely down and frustrated about our situation as we had to evacuate several times under intense bombardment and explosions and the threat of being killed.

On the 16th of March, my home was partially damaged by an Israeli airstrike in my neighborhood, in which ten people of my relatives and neighbors were killed. In addition to all of that, I lost my job after the Israeli tanks invaded the Al-Shifa hospital area and bombed the shops in the streets there. I’m now jobless, broke, and exhausted as I have to protect my family, bring food and medicines for them, and maintain my home because my 10-member family including me have no other shelter.

Your donation will be used to:

• Cover the costs of necessities, as the prices have skyrocketed by 500%. We are now struggling to afford food, water, and medical care.

• Provide medical care for my father.

• Repair the damage to our home.

• Assist my sister and her family in finding a safe and affordable rental house for six months.
