Help Waste Not Want Not Survive The Winter!

First launched in 2017, Waste Not Want Not Battersea have operated ever since with two goals: reducing food waste and food poverty in South London by redistributing healthy, perfectly safe, high-quality unwanted food from suppliers at New Covent Garden Market and other local businesses to the people who need it most. Working with youth clubs, homeless kitchens and schools, as well as running regular food distribution sessions at our Battersea premises, we've saved hundreds of tons of food from waste and fed thousands of people and communities in need.

In today's unprecedented times, following a pandemic where we stepped up our operations to deliver food to those who couldn't leave their homes to buy it themselves despite an important loss in funding from catering jobs, we want to continue ramping up our support for people amidst the cost of living and energy crises, with warm food hubs, a new community space and more regular, properly staffed food distributions.

To do this, Waste Not Want Not Battersea need urgent help to cover unexpected operating costs during the winter. Our energy bills have tripled, our Battersea site needs urgent work done and so we need your support so to enable us to continue saving food from waste and bringing it to those who need it most.

In a time where we're needed more than ever, your help is more important than ever before, so any donations would be warmly welcomed.
