Gonyea Park: Help water 15 young new trees

We got 15 trees planted in Gonyea Park after advocating for 1.5 years working with Salem Tree Commission and the City to close out the EPA paperwork on this once lead factory brown field. We need to raise $2500 for this 2nd and final year for the landscaper to fill the gator bags for these young trees in the hottest, driest months.

As lesson learned from 2023, that’s really the amount of watering that is needed in addition to the jug drip irrigation efforts. As per our agreement with DCR for the free trees, we’re responsible for the 1st 2 years until established. So we’re continuing to our 2nd and final round of Gonyea GoFundMe.
