Help Wayne get a new bike!

On Saturday December 2nd, while driving the kids to a dentist appointment we watched a gentleman get struck by a car while he was riding his bike.
I immediately pulled over to help get the gentleman off the main road, and start helping with first aid while another witness called 911.
After all the craziness settled down, the gentleman simply just wanted to go home.
Luckily for him we happened to have Will’s truck, so we put his bike in the back and I offered to drive him home.
Well - let me introduce you all to Wayne.
Wayne is a widower who doesn’t have any local family. According to him, his neighbors do a pretty good job of looking out for him, but he likes his independence too. Wayne is no longer able to drive and his only mode of transportation is his bike, which is now mangled in the back.
When I tell you that he is an absolute sweetheart, I mean it wholeheartedly.
He thanked the kids and I profusely for coming to his rescue, and we made sure to alert his neighbor to make sure someone could keep an eye on him.
I wrote my number down just in case he needed it and we headed out.
Today, I received a call from his neighbor. Wayne is doing well, but his bike is unfixable. It wasn’t just the wheel that was broken, but the entire back is so twisted, he needs a new one.
Which is why I’m calling upon the community to help the kids and I get him a new bike.
Please consider helping us gift Wayne this Christmas.
We know times are hard for everyone, and any amount is appreciated.
We thank you all in advance and promise to share when we finally get the new bike to him. ❤️
