Help Wayne in his cancer battle

Our family is saddened and devastated by the stage 4 small cell lung cancer (which has metastasized) diagnosis our dad, Wayne, has received. Wayne, father to 5, husband (to wife Linda), grandfather (“pirate pop-sicle” as our daughter Emily affectionately calls him), uncle, brother, and dear friend is in need of our support.

Receiving this news has left us feeling so helpless (especially because none of us live in the same state). Wayne and Linda, just about ready to settle in for retirement as this devastating news came to them, will now need to be at countless doctor appointments for an undefined amount of time. Wayne has already completed 2 full weeks of radiation. Over the next 3 months he will have chemo and immunotherapy treatments (3 hour appointments each time).

As you can imagine the normal costs of every day living...such as mortgage, food, gas, car, etc...the medical costs can be astronomical. We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden on Linda and Wayne.

Our goal is to enable Linda and Wayne to concentrate on Wayne getting as well as possible and fight this wicked disease called cancer.

None of us know what truly lies ahead, and how much time we will have with Wayne. During his fight, we want to enable him to solely focus on this fight, and not put the added burden of the financial impacts on himself.
