Help Welch family rebuild after Thompson fire devastation.
Donation protected
On July 2nd my family and I were evacuated due to the Thompson fire, and although evacuation orders are all lifted we are still displaced.
Unfortunately our property was badly burnt and caused our home which is still standing to be uninhabitable until we can make some major repairs and do major clean up.
We have no insurance, unfortunately after the camp fire we could not find coverage.
We lost all our out buildings, all of our animal shelters and pens and our guest house.
Not looking for a hand out by any means, and we definitely don’t like asking for help but times are hard and if anyone can help we sure could use it.
Unfortunately my husband who has been working hard to restore power and gas to paradise after the camp fire is unable to work right now due to the fire.
We could use donations to help if you can spare anything, either in the way of money or items.
Bills are still coming in and we are still displaced until our home is livable again, also the expenses from having to re buy everything and redo everything and also having to re buy the tools to work with.
We need everything from water lines, to faucets, to fencing and gates, to piping, to drips and timers, to kennels or coops or something for our chickens and ducks, a dog kennel or metal fencing for the dog yard, dump runs and possibly plumbing (praying the septic is ok), to smoke damage repair and toxic waste removal, etc….
Our house is a tiny house less than 1000sq ft so we kept almost everything of ours in the guest house.
The contents of the house are about a fifth if not less of our stuff compared to the stuff we kept in the guest house.
Unfortunately Casey lost everything he owned, all his expensive rc cars, all his fishing gear from his collection of rods to his boxes of lures, all his clay cars he spent months sculpting, all of his tools from chain saws to drill sets all the way down to screw drivers, and battery’s and chargers for tools, so many tools and now it’s to the point he is trying to work on the house and property and everything he goes to use is gone. He also lost his winter clothes and some work clothes, all of his pvc piping stuff, his spot lights so he can work at night, all of his workout weights and bench, his large tool box’s on wheels, the deep freezer, etc..
I lost generational hand me downs like my antique hutch of my great great grandmothers or my great grandpas Oregon that my grandpa gave me when I started playing piano, stuff from my sister who has passed away and a lot of my mom and other grandparents who are also passed ons stuff like a old antique desk/shelf that my grandfather gave my daughter and old dresser full of baby books from mine and my daughters childhood. My best friends funeral mementos and all of my wedding stuff except my dress.
All of my awards for gymnastics, softball and from school, all of my year books and photo albums, all of my baby pics and family pics from before technology took over, many framed photos , my daughters baby box and my baby box, basically a lot of memories and things I can never replace.
We also lost a couch, electric fire place, 50” tv, our extra kitchen chairs for company, and a long dresser that were also in the guest house along with our electric scooters and boxes of my daughters stuff from her child hood. The list really goes on unfortunately.
