Help Wendy and Dan Rebuild!
I am a friend posting on behalf of Wendy Hahn and Dan McCarn, longtime and beloved Los Alamos/White Rock community members.
On November 2, 2016, their house caught fire. Although Dan and the dogs at home got out safely, and the fire was suppressed quickly, their cats were killed and the house is uninhabitable for the foreseeable future.
Dan and Wendy are currently living in a hotel, searching for a rental home, while their three dogs are in foster care. Their insurance requires them to pay all expenses out-of-pocket and then wait for reimbursement, so contributions to this fund will defray those costs, which currently include the hotel and living necessities, and later will include rent and replacement of household items.
The full cost of the fire hasn't been estimated yet, but it will almost certainly be well above the national average of $45,000 (the amount I have chosen as the goal).
Thank you so much for your support and kindness; it means the world to Wendy and Dan (and their dogs).
