I want to share with you the story of someone incredibly special to me - my beloved wife, Wendy. Words cannot express just how sweet, amazing, and kind-hearted she is. Those who know her understand why our family and friends hold her in such high regard. Wendy's presence lights up every room she enters, bringing smiles to everyone with her wonderful sense of humor.
Throughout the years, Wendy's unwavering love and dedication have been the anchor that keeps our household together, especially considering the challenges we face in raising our youngest son with Autism and Explosive Disorder. The sacrifices she makes for our family are immeasurable, and I feel eternally grateful to have her as my loving wife and the caring mother of our children.
Recently, on July 14th, we received devastating news - Wendy was diagnosed with Invasive Breast Carcinoma, one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer. The cancer has already spread to her lymph nodes, making the journey ahead even more challenging.
Wendy is now unable to work, and her battle against cancer starts with several months of chemotherapy, followed by multiple surgeries and physical therapy. The road to recovery will undoubtedly be long and difficult, but we have faith that with God's strength, and the help of families and friends, Wendy will face this challenge head-on with unwavering spirit.
As her husband, I have decided to take a leap of faith and open a fundraiser on Wendy's behalf. The purpose is to help alleviate the financial burden caused by this dreadful disease and to support her in covering the medical costs, many of which are not covered by insurance. These expenses include high deductibles, copays, additional scans, and other forms of therapy to prevent neuropathy and permanent damage to her nervous system.
In these trying times, I kindly, and humbly, ask you to spread this message and galvanize this effort, to keep Wendy in your prayers for a swift and complete recovery. For those of you who are able, any contribution, no matter the amount, to support Wendy's fight against breast cancer would be immensely appreciated.
