Help Wendy Heal: Medical and Memorial Expenses

Wendy, a firefighter with the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, was recently involved in a motor vehicle accident and is hoping to get your support as she works through the recovery process.

“Mother of 3 kids, Daysie 21, Mason & Makenzie 19. Luckily, none of the children were in the truck with me. Unfortunately, my fur baby Gizmo (Poodle/Chihuahua) did not survive the accident. The accident happened in Congress, AZ, where I was en route to Peeples Valley, a family ranch, then was attending a staff ride of the Yarnell Hill Fire put on by the Department of Forestry. I was airlifted to St. Joseph’s hospital where I underwent surgery and am currently at home recovering with family.
