Help Wesley Get Well Soon!

On Sunday, September 25th, 2022, the Nichols family was changed forever.

After suffering through chronic imbalance and unwarranted vomiting, a CT scan discovered that 3-year-old Wesley had an apple-sized tumor sitting on his cerebellum.

Wesley’s parents, Taylor and Andy, immediately rushed him to the University of Wisconsin - Madison Children’s Hospital, where he underwent 8-hour emergency surgery to remove the tumor. Fortunately, Wesley’s medical team included a world-renowned surgeon who was able to remove the tumor in its entirety.

Since the surgery, Wesley has been recovering well in the PICU and will remain in the hospital for some time. Although he has shown us all his superhero strength, the road ahead for Wesley will have its challenges. He will need intensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in order to relearn the functions affected by the tumor and surgery.

Wesley can and will overcome the physical challenges he's been presented with within his short life but he needs YOUR help in order to do so! The amount of therapy needed to improve Wesley’s motor skills and speech, the routine neurology appointments, and other pediatric appointments all come at a considerable price.
