Help Wesley's Family Overcome Medical Challenges
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Audrey. I am raising funds for a sweet, faithful, hard working young family who has had to deal with several medical issues over the past few years. I'm gonna do my best to explain a little bit about this family and their struggles. First let me tell you about Karter, their 5 year old. He is the sweetest, kindest and a fighter! He’s been fighting 5 years from strokes, aneurysms, seizures, and surgeries. Last August Karter finally had brain surgery where they separated his brain. Karter is now walking, talking and going to school. To know what Karter went through and how well he is doing with that is nothing short of a miracle from God! All the while the husband, dad of 3 boys (Wesley) has been fighting a rare form of melanoma that caused him to lose an eye and has spread through out the rest of his body, many set backs and hospital stays, bad reactions to treatment and having to stop certain treatments and trials. Its a struggle to say the least. Somewhere in the middle of all of this they find a mass on their middle child's neck and stomach that they had to deal with. The mother and wife (Makayla) is trying her best to keep the family a float by working night shift and taking care of all of her family's needs. Seeing what this sweet family has had to endure since I have known them and how they have kept their faith is truly inspiring. This is a recent post from Makayla " Since we are coming to the end of the month May is melanoma awareness month. I’ve gotten comments saying “maybe Wesley should have used more sunscreen stayed out of the sun more” “maybe it was his diet”.. The sun didn’t cause his type of melanoma, his diet didn’t cause his cancer. It was genetics.. His cancer started inside his body not the out.. Melanoma can be way more than just “skin cancer” and people fail to realize that.
Within a year I’ve watched Wesley change drastically from physically, mentally, emotionally. He went from working everyday to barely being able to drive even walk because of the pain, he has been denied treatment after treatment, if you know Wesley then you know his favorite thing to do was eat now he’s very limited to what he can handle on his stomach if anything at all and so much more but Even with all this going on he still has a smile on face, he still encourages me everything will be fine, his Faith in God is so strong.
As for me I will never stop praying for the Lord to heal you, I will never leave your side, I have and will continue to be there with you through every storm we cross. Wesley you are my person, My best friend, The greatest father and husband. I love you.
This month is for him and everyone that has fought this fight and won and everyone that has fought this fight and lost you all are so strong. " So I am asking for help for this family that I know without a doubt would do the same for anyone else! If you cant help financially please send prayers! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I know they will forever be grateful.
