Help White Owl Animal Sanctuary Rebuild

On the night of November 11th, WhiteOwl Sanctuary burned to the ground. Fortunately, no animals were hurt or killed. We were able to evacuate all dogs and cats safely before the fire reached the housing part of the trailer. All of our pet food, office equipment and most of our rescue equipment has been lost, due to the fire. We now need to find shelter for 10 cats and kittens and 17 dogs and pups as the cold winter months arrive here in South Dakota. We  currently are not able to take in any new animals. Please consider donating funds to help us recover from the fire. We plan to rebuild, may need to rent space in the mean time, and need to purchase pet food and supplies.

WhiteOwl Sanctuary is located in Kyle, South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. There is no animal control and there are no veterinarians on our reservation, which consists of over 3,400 square miles. Thus people turn to us when they need help for their animals. We have a high unemployment rate and have been hit hard this year by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are determined to look out for the animals in our community and appreciate any support you can provide.
