Help Whitney & Gio’s Family Recover After The Fire

Hi friends,

I’m heartbroken to witness the devastation that has occurred in a place that I called home for over 10 years, and even more devastated that so many have lost their homes. In the wake of the tragedy, so many feel helpless as we watch from afar. I’m organizing this fundraiser to help my best friend and her family begin to rebuild their life, as they just lost everything they knew in the Palisades fire.

My name is Megan, and my best friend Whitney Dicterow, her husband Gio Messner, and their two amazing kids and sweet dog Koda are one of the most amazing families I know. They’re kind, generous, loving people who worked hard to create a thriving community full of so much love. Their beautiful home was such a safe and welcoming space for all, and it’s missed dearly already. They’ve lost their home and everything in it, their kids school, Whitney’s mother’s home, and so much more in the blink of an eye. They were lucky to evacuate to safety, but had to leave everything behind.

If you’re looking for a way to help, donations will go directly to help them navigate this period of uncertainty as they begin to rebuild their lives from the ground up (think clothes, toiletries, temporary housing, etc). Any amount helps. And anything that’s leftover after their immediate needs are met will be shared to support other victims of the wildfires.
