Our beloved Whitney, who is 22 weeks pregnant with her third baby, fell down stairs while visiting family in New York City and broke her leg, requiring emergency surgery.
She is still in the hospital and very much in the thick of it. As she recovers from surgery, Whitney cannot put weight on her leg for six weeks and she cannot get on a plane for two weeks. She and Nate are 3,000 miles away from their young children Moe (4) and Gus (1).
As this medical and logistical nightmare unfolds in the coming weeks and months, the last thing Whitney and Nate should be worrying about are the expenses that balloon from these kinds of accidents.
