Help Wilbur (Parvo Survivor)
Wilbur joined us in rough shape. He is a month ago he became a parvo survivor, but the parvo seems to have really messed up his digestive system. We're awaiting fecal testing results, giving him probiotics to help reset his system along with food gentle on the system. He loves people, toys, and canned food. We're working on convincing him that dry kibble is a good snack, but so far he won't buy it unless we mix it into his canned. Our main concern at this point is getting nutrition into him and slowing down the diarrhea so he's getting some nutrients.
He is ten weeks old and yes, you can count his ribs. He's eating better now but still not out of the woods. He has a huge belly but that's most likely due to how irritated his system is. He is staying with an experienced hospital foster who's working hard to get him to feel better. His foster mom is asking for donations of paper towels (you can drop off paper towels at the Coon Rapids PetSmart or any of our other partner locations, tell them it's a donation for Angel of Hope and they will set it aside for our volunteers to pick up). Any funds to help with the care of Wilbur and our other struggling angels would be greatly appreciated! www.aohrescue.org/giving
