Help Wild Carrot Farm Continue to Grow!

Wild Carrot Farm has moved but we're still here! We've recently relocated to a charming 'slice of heaven' in Torrington CT, which allows us space to establish our berries, herbs and perennials. And through the generosity of two of our long-time customers, we also have the use of a pristine horse property and large barn for the season so that we can continue to bring our certified organic seasonal greens, veggies, and tomatoes to market.
In order to move forward, both properties will require some minimal infrastructure upgrades. We have put together this 'Go Fund Me' campaign to help finance the purchase of these instrumental upgrades for the coming growing season, and we hope you can help!
We are seeking much needed dollars for the following items for the upcoming growing season:
1. IRRIGATION SYSTEM to accumulate well water from a private residence over a 24 hour period using a 500 gallon holding tank. Water will be available for drip irrigation as needed. ($7000.)
2. TWO CATERPILLAR TUNNELS each 50 feet long x 16 feet wide with doors on each end. One tunnel will be used for seedlings starts, and the second to grow arugula and salad mix. Each will require a kerosene heater for very cold nights in spring and fall. ($8500.)
3. DEER EXCLUSION electrical tape fencing for growing areas that we lease for vegetables, flowers, herbs, and for the growing areas for berries, asparagus and other perennial crops on our own property. ($1800.)
4. ORGANIC BARE ROOT PLANTS & TRELLISING to establish all of our favorite berry varieties and trellising material to maintain healthy plants. ($1250.)
We appreciate any amount you can contribute!
