Help Wild Heart Adventure Build an Experience!

My name is Corey Hancock, the owner of “A Zoo to You” based in Huntley, IL, and I’m extending this letter to invite you to join a new venture that I plan to bring to McHenry County — a marvelous chance for growth, commerce, and education. The new experience is “Wild Heart Adventure” — a public zoo for family, education, and community to come together.

We plan to open off Route 14 between Harvard and Woodstock, and in addition to a 200-acre sanctuary, we will offer a full virtual zoo experience, allowing remote learners the world over to experience our conservation efforts. Weather-permitting, an on-site campground will also allow a nocturnal experience of the zoo with venues included for the holidays, as well as the chance for on-site weddings. However, we need the community’s support to make this a reality. Should you be inspired to join us, I would love to chat more in-depth.

Why support us? … For what else but the chance to bring something singular to McHenry County: a place for families to experience nature first hand and make lasting memories season by season, to assist in the tradition of conservation already at play throughout the county, and in a way that will give back to the world not just locally — but globally, too!

Public Park

Our zoo’s premiere has been a dream since we were kids — our staff as well as founder. We have spent our life gaining the proper experience necessary, and here we are: on the verge of an amazing adventure! Together we can make a zoo where all can experience our animals and ensure them for the next generation — your accomplishment as much as ours. As part of our conservation efforts any and all infrastructure will ensure the safety and well-being of our animals while reducing our carbon footprint with the latest in technology both green — and virtual!

Virtual Zoo

This is our biggest idea yet! With each expansion will come an even more diverse menagerie with all enclosures accessorized with live feeds and classroom activities for our virtual section, making our outreach global and educational. With such ready access available, educators will be able to expand their school curriculum and join us in our efforts with remote learning a key priority.

Wild Heart Campground

Wild Heart Campground Ever wanted to be closer to nature? Our on-site camping will allow all to hear our animal’s day and night! How cool would it be to roast marshmallows by the fire and hear our wolves during the evening with full amenities, hiking, night tours and park access included?

Santa’s Workshop

What better way to celebrate the holidays than to come to Santa’s Workshop; complete with our amazing reindeer, a workshop filled with toys ready, and on your way out, grab the perfect Christmas tree and meet with Santa before his busy night!

Wedding Venue

Let us help you with your big day! This will be in our final phase of building and everything we plan to offer, but once complete the visitor will be able to celebrate at the zoo to their liking. Our event venue can make that possible complete with photo opportunities depending on the species of your choosing.
