Help William and Amber pay expenses

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am starting a go fund me page for my friend Amber Fogel and her significant other William Harris.

William is an over the road truck driver and on August 4th he suffered a stroke while driving his truck in New Jersey. A police officer found him hours later and he was taken to a nearby hospital and placed in ICU. Since his admission, William is fighting to regain normal body functions such as eating, talking, and walking. His recovery is not progressing as much as the physicians would hope, but he is making small improvements and the hospital is hoping to transfer him to a rehabilitation center soon. The staff have noted that he has a long recovery ahead of him.

Unfortunately, with both Amber and Williams jobs, they do not have medical insurance or benefits such as vacation time. They have two beautiful young daughters at home. Amber has had to take off work to travel back and forth from Colver, PA to Edison, NJ to support him through his recovery. Because she is traveling out of state and the price of gas, she has been staying in a hotel a few nights per week in NJ and then traveling home to be with their daughters for a few days. Due to Covid, the children are not permitted to visit. Right now, this family does not have any income coming in to help pay bills such as rent, electric, etc. They also do not have the financial resources for Amber to keep traveling to NJ, which is critical in Williams recovery to have support of loved ones, especially as right now he is only able to say a few words and his having difficulty remembering things. They are trying to get him transferred back to PA, but have hit a roadblock as he does not have health care insurance.

I have been in constant contact with Amber and she is overwhelmed and at her breaking point. She is worried about her partner, bills are stacking up, the girls are getting ready to start school and she has not been able to get them situated for school (time and financial constraints), she is fighting to get health insurance so that he can be transferred to a PA rehab when stable enough to transfer. Amber is unable to return to work as she does not have anyone to watch her children. She continues to travel back and forth from PA to NJ.

First and foremost, I am asking for prayers for this beautiful family. The POWER of PRAYER is incredible and miracles happen everyday, so please join me in praying for complete healing and restoration over William. Second, I am trying to raise money to help alleviate some of the financial burden this family is going through so that Amber is able to focus on her family. She needs money to allow her to travel back and forth from PA to NJ, money to help pay for groceries, school supplies for their two daughters, and to help pay their rent and electric bills.
