Help William Garrison Rebuild After Tornado from Hurricane

Donation protected
On 10/9/2024, as Hurricane Milton approached the West Coast of Florida, an outbreak of tornadoes hit the area and the Lakeport community.

William Garrison, a 72 year old retired deputy and his son Travis had prepared for the hurricane and were sheltering in their home when a tornado tore through their street and demolished their home. They had seconds to prepare and brace themselves as the tornado ripped the roof off their house, caused trees to fall into their windows, and destroyed their home. Power lines fell into their storage shed, igniting a fire and burning the contents to the ground.

The home was uninsured, as Florida insurance companies declined coverage for the home.

The home will need extensive rebuilding and all or most of their belongings replaced.

William and Travis are local residents, work, and live in Glades and Okeechobee County.

If you would like to help them rebuild, please donate here. The proceeds from this GoFundMe account will 100 percent go toward rebuilding their home and lives. Thank you so much.
