This is Noura Ahmadieh. I am reaching out to share a story that is very close to my heart. A few weeks ago, an unexpected challenge arose in the life of my 11-year-old cousin, William. We, family and friends were saddened by the news that he was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia.
Since then, with support from his parents and older brother, William has remained resilient on this rollercoaster of waiting for answers and praying for solutions.
William’s diagnosis is considered rare — a life-threatening condition that has halted the production of red blood cells in his bone marrow. His condition can lead to severe bleeding and infections. Due to his critical situation, his doctors are scheduling him for an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant On Jan 22 at the American University Beirut Medical Center, where he has been receiving medical treatment.
The total estimated cost of this procedure is 100,000 USD. William and his parents are in urgent need of immediate support to raise funds for his surgery.
William is not just a cousin; he is an 11-year-old sixth grader. He is incredibly energetic, kind, and adorable. Please, help us bring William back to his normal life and reunite him with his teachers and friends.
