Help Winston Heal: A Second Chance for Our Family’s Heart
Donation protected
Winston is more than just a dog - he’s family.
He’s been my shadow, my son in spirit, and the heart of my life for over a decade. Anyone who knows me, knows my family, knows how much Winston means to us.
Now, he’s fighting - and we’re doing everything we can to help him heal.
At 10½ years old, Winston has been our anchor through every season of life.
Just recently, my wife and I celebrated our wedding, full of hope for the future, and began preparing for a major move to start our next chapter together.
But alongside these joyful milestones, we’ve been hit with immense unexpected challenges - and none harder than this.
Out of nowhere, Winston suffered a sudden and devastating medical emergency called GDV (gastric dilatation-volvulus), a life-threatening condition where the stomach twists and cuts off blood flow to vital organs.
Without immediate, emergency surgery, Winston would not have survived.
My mother Suzanne, who thankfully happened to be with at the time, rushed him to the emergency hospital. Against the odds, Winston fought through shock, emergency surgery, and intensive care. Thanks to the incredible work of the veterinary team, and Winston’s incredible spirit, he’s still with us, slowly rebuilding his strength day by day.
The cost of saving Winston’s life has risen beyond $15,000, covering emergency surgery, ICU hospitalization, constant monitoring, medications, and essential aftercare.
We would give anything for him - and we did, without hesitation.
But as we shoulder the costs of building our life together, preparing for a move, and supporting Winston’s recovery, we find ourselves reaching out with open hearts.
I’m humbly asking for your help.
If Winston’s story touches you, if you’ve ever known the unconditional love of a dog who feels like part of your soul, we would be deeply grateful for any contribution.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Winston’s medical bills and the care he needs to walk, heal, and live the life he’s still fighting for.
Even if you can't donate, sharing Winston’s story would mean the world to us.
Winston has given us his love and loyalty every day of his life.
Now it’s our turn to do everything we can to give him the future he deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of Winston’s second chance at life.
With gratitude,
Scott, Juliana, Brian and Suzanne ❤️
