Help with Abi's medical expenses

Abi Wilson is 28 and has hard couple months. She had her baby on April 18 being only 34 weeks pregnant. At Abi's 20 week ultrasound, she was diagnosed with a condition called Placenta Percreta. It's a rare condition where the placenta attached to the uterus and can grow further into other organs. Abi's placenta grew into the uterus and the superior and anterior portion of the bladder. With the placenta attached to the uterine wall and bladder, it was decided by the high risk obstetrical and GYN oncologist doctors that she had to have a hysterectomy immediately after her C-section. It's an extremely invasive procedure that has a 30% mortality rate.

On April 18, Abi and Joey welcomed their daughter, Lyla. Lyla was rushed to the NICU while Abi had to recover from her C-section/Hysterectomy. 6 days later, Abi and Lyla were discharged from the hospital. They were excited to start the recovery process.

However, three weeks later, recovery never happened. Abi was very sick. She couldn’t walk or stand. She was nauseated and had severe abdominal pain. She went back to the hospital on May 14, where she underwent a second emergency surgery. The doctors stated there was a leak or hole in her bladder. There was over 7 litres of urine sitting in her abdomen. She was quickly going septic.

They performed the surgery and recut the same incision as before. That meant 40 new staples that started above her belly button all the way down to her pubic bone. Abi was told to start the recovery process all over again. That meant going home with a Foley catheter and the same staples all while trying to take care of a baby.

May 25, Abi had a cystogram to check the progress on her bladder. The doctor said there was still a small leak. He wanted to wait and revisit in a couple weeks to see if the bladder would repair itself. If it doesn't, that means another surgery.

On May 29, she was feeling very sick and went to the ER where she was admitted for an infection in her incision. They are talking about doing a surgery to get rid of the dead tissue in the incision.

As I am sure you can imagine, this has taken a huge financial burden on the family. Her fiancé is trying to work, take care of the new born and take care of Abi as well. We are asking for just a little help for this family. Anything will help even $1. Thank you for your time.
