Help Erin & Dusty: Bramble’s Broken Leg Surgery

Hi everyone! I’m reaching out on behalf of Erin & Dusty, my sister and brother-in-law, for their rambunctious 1.5 year old pup, Bramble. While playing a game they often do he jumped and landed just wrong enough to fully break his back leg. 

After a visit to the emergency vet clinic and eye opening X-rays the recommended treatment is orthopedic surgery to make sure he heals up enough to handle the high intensity life of a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. He’s young and full of life and this setback is so hard for Erin and Dusty, especially since their jobs has them in two different states in this season. Erin will likely need to miss work since and the loss of income alongside the huge expense of Bramble’s surgery and recovery is quite a blow. 

Any help you feel comfortable giving would be so incredibly appreciated and mean the world to my sister and brother in law during this season of transition and financial uncertainty. 

I know $12,000 looks like a lot so I want to be transparent about the cost breakdown. Your gift will help pay for the initial emergency vet visit and X-rays ($1300), and overnight stay ($1000), the surgery itself ($7600), and his Recovery/Physical Therapy needs ($1000). It would also be incredibly helpful to cover some of Erin's missed work as she navigates his recovery over the next few months ($1000).
