HELP WITH BRANCHVILLE FAMILY RECOVERY

As many of you know, on Saturday late evening, the Woods/Reper/Jones family suffered a devastating loss of their barn. Kristy looked out the bathroom window at about 11pm and notice a red glow coming from their barn that sits about 75 feet from their home. Thanks to many fire departments on the area, the home was saved; however, the barn built in the 1800’s was lost to the fire. The historical loss is compounded by the fact that a vehicle close to the barn was torched and is a complete loss.

What makes this so much more painful is the fact that there were several thousands of dollars worth of tools, equipment and personal items (including pictures and heirlooms).

As many of you also know, Buck Reper is a woodworking genius and amazing craftsman. Several commissioned projects are gone and many projects that were completed for sale have been lost as well. Compounding the lose of thousands of dollars worth of projects is the fact that all of his tools and equipment for making such beautiful pieces are gone. He has no way of creating, relaxing and enjoying making his woodworking pieces. It’s financially devastating and emotionally exhausting.

The Reper family are avid sports people. All hunting and fishing equipment has been lost too. Compound bows, fishing gear and hunting gear gone.

We are now on day two of no electricity in their home as they wait for JCP&L to reconnect them to the grid. Kind neighbors have lent them a generator, but they are having to make gas runs, double check on their food to be sure the refrigerator is functioning properly.
