Help With Brian's Medical Care

Update 12/25: Over the past few days Brian has shown TREMENDOUS improvement! He is able to to follow commands from the nurses and doctors and they were able to move him back to room air. Our family is overjoyed and can only call this a miracle. We are so thankful for the doctors and nurses caring for him. Amazingly, the Doctor is going to try to discharge him tomorrow so he can go home and continue recovering there as the hospital needs space for the continued influx of patients. Finch and Evelyn were able to do a Zoom call with Brian yesterday and it was very emotional for all, so I can only imagine how ready they are to see him. Thank you ALL for your support through text, call, message, donation, and prayer. Please continue to support this family as they have a very long road ahead of them.

Hi Everyone,

 

My brother in law, Brian, is currently hospitalized in Manhattan, KS with severe complications related to COVID. He has been in the hospital since December 15th after he was found unresponsive at home. He has been intubated and has not had an encouraging response to treatment. The hospital is hoping to transfer Brian to a larger hospital with a Neurology Unit, but most are at capacity at this time. In addition, no one is allowed to visit Brian due to hospital policies regarding COVID.

 

Brian is a wonderful father and has four children-two of which are only 10 and 12. Brian lived for these babies and they are having a difficult time understanding what is happening with their dad and why they can't visit him. As you can imagine, this has been impossibly overwhelming and heartbreaking for Finch, Evelyn, and Alana.

 

I know it can be difficult to ask for help-so I am doing it on behalf of Alana and Brian. Between Christmas, change in jobs, bills, mortgages, and medical expenses they need our help. Right now, Alana is trying to keep everything as consistent as possible for both Finch and Evelyn while also taking it day by day. Please consider helping this family financially (and prayerfully please!) as they face the unimaginable.
