Help with Chef Tom's Medical Expenses

As many of you know, Chef Tom was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. This fundraiser is to help raise funds for his medical care and other essential bills. I offered to start this Go Fund Me and asked Jiin about the experience, and this is what she told me.

"This news was a shock to all of us, being he was going into surgery to remove a mass. When the doctor broke the news, I completely lost it all I kept replaying was stage 4 lung cancer anything else that was said I had tuned out. At that moment I felt broken, it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to accept. I'd like to believe it wasn’t real, that this was all a bad dream but the truth is this was reality. I just don’t understand why. I’ve done everything to kinda avoid this situation sad to say but I just wasn’t ready to accept it. I mean stage 4 is the last stage like how did they miss this?

The past few years he made the decision to become healthier and changed his way of eating and just simply focused on his health more. So this news was just the last thing we all expected to hear. We took time to process the news as a family, but we felt the need to share it with our second family the Ladda Bistro family. Over years our customers have become family, and to make the decision to temporarily close was heartbreaking, but we know right now his health and getting him is the main priority.

We have to fight this because that’s the only way".

As most of you know the restaurant was their main source of income. Many people have asked how can they help, and this is how. They know they are in for an uphill battle, but that's the only option they feel is best.
