Help with Clement Olson’s medical care

Funds will be used for Clement’s care and additional needs in the future❤️

From Joseph, Clement’s father:

Clement Joseph was born a week and two days ago on 11/14. He was born via C-section, a very new experience in comparison to our last 4 children.

To make a long story short, their have been a few complications.

Clement has Trisomy 21 / Down’s Syndrome. At birth, he had many physical markers that made the nurses / doctor want to get a chromosome test done. We found out the results this past Fri. We are so blessed by this diagnosis! He has changed our family and marriage for the better already. 

In addition to this diagnosis, Clement also has a VSD, a heart condition where there is a hole between his ventricles. His hole is moderate / large and we’re guessing will be surgically repaired within the first year. We will find out more at a cardiologist appointment in a few weeks. He also has two fingers fused together on both hands. The kids sign off of our face time calls with the “Clement Wave” by mimicking his hands. We will also see a hand surgeon in December / January to see if they can be or suggest being separated.

Clement is still in the special care nursery at Woodwinds where he has stolen every nurse’s heart. He was taken off oxygen yesterday and rocked it! However he still has a feeding tube and is learning how to eat. It’s slow, but we’re getting there!

We love him and know you will too when you meet him.

Support for us and our son has been overwhelming. At this time we ask for your prayers for Clement (especially on his Feast day today) and Shea as they both heal and grow.
