Help with Dax’s Vet Bills

Hi everyone,

My name is Calum, and I’m reaching out for help during an incredibly difficult time. My beloved cat, Dax, has been by my side for 14 years—he’s not just a pet; he’s family. He’s been my comfort, my companion, and an irreplaceable part of my life. Unfortunately, he recently needed emergency vet care, and the bills have become overwhelming.

In the UK, vet costs are extremely high, especially in urgent situations. Just one visit has already cost £1,500, with more expenses to come, including an overnight stay. I’m working with my insurance company, but they will only cover £500, leaving us with a huge financial burden. On top of that, the vet doesn’t offer a payment plan, making it even more difficult to manage.

I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but Dax means the world to me. I don’t have children—nor do I plan to, as I’m in a same-sex relationship—but Dax has been my family, my constant source of love, and my greatest responsibility. If you can spare anything, even the smallest amount, it would make a tremendous difference in helping us cover his care.
