Help with Emily Bair's Medical Expenses!

The day before her 26th birthday, Emily Bair, daughter of Chris and Laura Wheeler, became unresponsive. On the morning of August 15th, she was resuscitated twice before being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, where they discovered she had three brain aneurysms. One burst and two were prevented from bursting by an emergency operation performed by the neurosurgeon at Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania. Things seemed to be stabilizing for a while, but Wednesday night there was a turn of events. Because of building pressure in her brain, Emily needed a hemicraniectomy. This is a procedure where a sizable portion of the skull is removed to alleviate deadly pressure inside the head and save the life of the patient. Not only that, but a small portion of brain matter had to be extracted because of a blood clot. The surgery went as well as could be expected and now Emily is back to a stabilized state. The Doctors' next step in the healing process is to ease Emily off of the sedation she is on currently. By doing this the doctors can see her responsiveness to stimuli and she can get off the ventilator. If she continues to heal she'll be in the Neuro Trauma portion of the ICU for 3 weeks and, Lord willing, transferred to a rehabilitation center for several months of re-learning motor and mental functions.

At only 26 and without any suspected causes, Emily is suffering through an extremely uncommon situation. Doctors are stumped as to the cause of the aneurisms and think they may have been there since birth. Thank you for your prayers and support. God has a plan and purpose for those He loves, even in the hard times.
