Help The Patrick Family Through Hospital Stay

Donation protected
UPDATE: We lost sweet Maggie Lou Monday 01/20/2025. Her heart just could not withstand it anymore it just wasn’t strong enough. She is now in the arms of our savior and we will see her again one day. The fund will still be used for travel back and forth as Rosie Cate is still in the CCN (Continued Care Nursery) and will be until their due date of Feb 27th. We will also use the funds for Maggie girls funeral expenses.

UPDATE : The twins came at 34 weeks and are now in the NICU together. Magnolia is under sedation and several other extensive things and Rosalee is slowly weaning from hers. HOWEVER, we are now looking at an additional 4-6 weeks on top of the original 30 days due to the pre-mature birth of the girls.

We struggled on doing this or not, but truthfully we have to set our pride aside and are asking for help. We have had many ask how they can help out and this is the best way to let everyone know.

Most know that I am currently carrying Mono-Di twins (Monochorionic Diamniotic) girls, which is considered a high-risk pregnancy. I have recently been in the hospital with blood pressure issues, and it made me think how quickly everything is coming. I am 33 weeks and 3 days, and we are shooting for me to keep the girls in until 37 weeks. Twin A (Magnolia Louise) Maggie Lou, has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia and is expected to have several procedures once she is born. Twin B ( Rosalee Catherine) Rosie Cate is perfectly healthy, praise God.

Once the girls are born, we are expected to have a 30-day admission to UAB NICU for her growth and recovery after the first surgery is done. The plan for Magnolia is to have her started on IV medicines to keep the PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus) open to help with blood flow since she does not have a pulmonary valve. Within the first week after birth, if her weight is good, they will do the first procedure to place a shunt to keep the PDA permanantley open. She will then have subsequent procedures after a few months and then a few years down the road to build up her Right Ventricle which is currently very very small.

We have set a goal of $3500 to help us in covering the cost of securing a place to stay in Birmingham throughout this process. There is a possibility of getting an apartment, if available, near the hospital, but they are based on availability. These donations would also be used for travel costs. If we can't get anywhere to stay local, we would be coming back and forth multiple times a week. Also, for necessities while we are going through this. With having twins and our sweet 2-year-old (Lilianna Faye), us staying all together is what we are hoping for but understand the time and travel that may end up being required of us instead.

If you feel led to give, we would be more than appreciative of anyone helping us through this time. We would also appreciate prayers for us going through the next 4 weeks preparing for the girls' arrival as well as after for our Magnolia Lou and that we can work out a plan and be able to ride it out smoothly. Truly, it is all in God's hands, and we are holding on to that fact as tight as we can.

Thank you for taking the time to read and to contribute if you have felt led to do so.
