Help with Expenses & Medical bills for Etta May

Hi friends and family,

I so appreciate all your loving, supportive comments and prayers for my mom and dad as they walk through this challenging time with my mom suffering from severe pneumonia after having Covid. We have now reached 1 month in the hospital with 2.5 of those weeks in intensive care at St. Mary’s Regional in Reno, NV. Things were looking more positive last week but unfortunately she’s had a set back and now has blood clots in the damaged portion of her lungs. She’s been moved once again to a specialized room in the hospital until they can get a handle on the blood clots and the damage to her lungs. This is going to be a very long road to her recovery. She will have to do several weeks of rehabilitation in a skilled facility at some point when they release her. It’s been hours of being on the phone, praying and walking my dad through this. He has not been able to return to work as he is having to be in Reno staying with friends throughout the week to be nearby. She will not be able to return to work for quite some time. It’s because of this I am putting this go fund me together. They are struggling financially at this point. My dad has applied for family medical leave but as you know this takes time and is not what your full pay was. I believe the social worker is helping them apply for disability for my mom or will be at some point. These things take time. It’s also unknown how much their health insurance will cover for all of this. Unfortunately, this is causing them to get behind on their bills that keep on going when their life stops. If you feel this would be something you’d like to help them with, it would be so greatly appreciated.
