Cancer is such an unpredictable illness to happen to any family. Its progression happened so rapidly, it feels like yesterday he told me about his diagnosis. But it's been a full year and some change. And with that time, a lot has changed. But he stayed strong till the end.

My dad worked as a welder for many years and around the end of his career he was more of a Subcontractor. He had no health insurance and what money he did have went to treatments and helping the family pay bills. In the end, everything he had worked for was gone. If you knew my dad, you already know he was a good man and if you never got a chance to meet him then just know that I'm the man I am today because of him. If you ever want to know who my dad was, just talk to me or any of his kids to find out.

My dad wanted us to spend no money whatsoever on him for a funeral. But unfortunately, that is not an option we have. Even a simple cremation is almost $2000 after taxes and permits. We would like to still have a ceremony for the family come and celebrate the life of a man that has helped so many people. The fund we are asking for will help with the Cremation and the ceremony. Anything extra will go to the immediate family to help with the extra time off we have all taken to grieve our loss and be there for each other in this hard time.
