Help with final costs for Delilah Harrison

Donation protected
Hi. We are Rob & Kelly Harrison. Our neice, Delilah, lost her battle on Saturday. Delilah caught a virus in 2018, and it quickly spread to her heart. Due to this, she needed a heart transplant which she got in early 2020. Delilah thrived and was progressing very well, to the point that she was in school daily, and doing lots of therapies to help her. She was doing so very well!! Unfortunately, in December 2022, Delilah got sick and was hospitalized with both COVID and Influenza A. She recovered and was sent home January 16, 2023. She was doing well, and had a Dr appointment on February 9th. That evening after her bath she coded here at home. She was revived by the EMT's here in Gilbert and transported to Cardon's in Mesa. She was stabilized there and life flighted to PCH in Phoenix. When she arrived there she coded again. Once again, Delilah came back and was placed on ECMO to give her heart a break. Delilah was making great strides in PCH, with her therapies and all the nurses and doctors cheering her on. She was removed from ECMO and eventually the ventilator. She was doing well without any assistance from the machines. But on May 25th at 6am she coded again. She was placed on ECMO and the ventilator again. After this code, it was found that she had global brain damage, and coronary artery disease with severe narrowing in multiple locations on both coronaries. She had a drastic life change in 2 1/2 months. She was a new Delilah, but still full of the spunk and sass. She may have been non verbal, but she let you know what she wanted, when she wanted and how she wanted. The ECMO was removed after that, and the ventilator removed 6/16. She tried to push through her last week, but we could tell that she was uncomfortable. And on June 24th she went to heaven so peacefully. She will always be our little dancing queen! Delilah loved her family, and dancing on her tippy toes to her favorite movies, Grease and Mama Mia.

The funds raised will be used for her final expenses and to help her family with costs. Her mom has been her 24 hour caregiver both at home and at the hospital, and hasn't worked in 3 years. Her dad has been working and taking care of not only Delilah, but her brothers and sister as well.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, please share so we can share her story with as many people as we can. Delilah was an amazing kiddo, always smiling and happy. Even on her bad days, when she was in pain or just not feeling it, she would be smiling.

Delilah is an inspiration to all who knew her. She will forever be our #princesstuffnut
