Help with financial cost while getting chemo

Hi, my name is Elisabeth Lopez and I created this account on behalf of myself.

back in December 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes since then my life was put on hold.

my oncologist ran a test called an oncotype test to see if Chemo would be beneficial to me my numbers were low so we decided to do a lumpectomy the tumor in my breast was removed with no more positive tissue however 6 out of 8 lymph nodes removed had cancer and because there was more the 3 lymph nodes my oncologist said I would have to have chemotherapy.

I am on my 4th round of chemo and I have 8 more till I’ll start a second round of chemo with a different regimen.

since started chemotherapy I am unable to work a lot I am an independent contractor so if I don’t work I don’t get paid there for I am unable to cover my bills. And this has hit my very hard financially.

I am also a single mother to the most amazing young man who has been my rock through all this.

due to me being an independent contractor I don’t get any short term benefits or PTO and my bills just keep coming so I am asking for help to cover me through the end of July or until I complete my treatments.

I am truly grateful for this opportunity to share with you all my dilemma and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
