Help with Funeral Costs For Dr. Celia Villalpando
Donation protected
Hello everyone, on May 17th our family suffered a great loss our beloved family member, Celia Villalpando. Her unexpected death was a shock to us all. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Dr. Celia Villalpando, was a mentor to thousands of first-generation, low-income background students at UCLA and community colleges for decades. She broke so many glass ceilings as one of the first Indigenous Chicana women to graduate with a Doctorate in Education at UCLA. She was fiercely kind and protective of students. She taught many to honor and respect the indigenous roots and to seek impactful ways to make change. She guided many through the graduate school enrollment process and master's thesis defense. She was a gentle force, a humble spirit and most importantly full of love and kindness. Her gifts to those who knew her are infinite. She will be remembered and loved always
