A safe and stable home for two wonderful boys
Donation protected
Hey everyone! If you're on this page, you probably know me, but I want to introduce you to Charlie and Roland! I met Charlie a few months ago when my daughter, Delilah brought him to hang out at our house and introduced him to me as her boyfriend. I quickly realized what a kind, deeply caring, and respectful young man he is, though he was quite shy and guarded in the beginning.
As the months went by, Charlie spent more and more time with my family and he finally started opening up a bit to me. I learned that home life for Charlie and his younger brother, Roland, was very turbulent. Their father, who cares about them very much, made the very tough decision to leave the household they were staying in, as it was no longer a safe place for the boys to be.
Their father works in construction and has steady work, but, as I'm sure you all know, housing is in short supply, and the cost of living right now is making it difficult for them to get a fresh start. I, personally, know how difficult single parenthood can be, and I can see that their father is doing everything in his power to provide a safe environment for his sons.
They have a functional camper, but cannot find an RV park with availability, so they are currently tent-camping. The boys have been spending the weekdays with me while their dad works. If we had the space, we would take them in full-time, no questions asked. Charlie and Roland are a couple of the most respectful, helpful and kindest boys I've ever met! They're always ready to lend a helping hand around the house and are just as enamored with baby Juniper as the rest of the family! I truly regard them both as a very special part of our family and it breaks my heart to see them struggling. These wonderful kids deserve a safe and stable home and I am doing everything in my power to help them achieve that.
It is my hope that I can help them secure housing in the coming weeks. Coming up with first month's rent (and possibly last month's as well), plus a deposit would help their family immensely. Even tent camping can be costly, and, while I know that their father is saving up as quickly as he can, I would like to see them housed ASAP. Financial donations would be greatly appreciated, but leads on housing or even a spot for them to hook up their RV are welcome as well! Thanks for reading. I hope we can come together as a community to help Charlie and Roland!
