Friends and family of Jacquelynn Renee Travis have set up this Fundraiser to assist with the funeral of Jeffery (Jeff) Steen Jr. (23) who left us in a tragic manner this past weekend. Jacquelynn (Jackie) gave birth to Jeffery on March 11, 1997. Jeffrey left us to join his Grandmother and Father in Heaven on Sunday, January 17th.

This has been a tragedy for his Mother and family. Jeffrey leaves behind his sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, sister in law, step father, and a very close family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Jeff played football at Bryant Middle School and Dearborn High School. He was well loved by his teachers, had a charismatic smile, always made his friends and family laugh, respectful and loving. Jeff always had friends with him, the boys just hanging out.

If you can donate any amount to contribute to his funeral so that his family can bring closure and properly lay him to rest.

The beneficiary of the donations is Jacquelynn Renee Travis, Mother of Jeffery Steen Jr. Donations will go towards costs of the funeral. The family is working through the details with their community.

Suzy Silvestre, friend of the Jacquelynn and Jala Gullatt daughter of Jacquelynn, are assisting with donations and funeral arrangements.

Death is something that is unknown. You never know the time or the hour. It just happens and when it does it hits you like a ton of bricks. It’s hard to find the positive in every situation, but there is. It may be hard to find but there is.

For someone to Die it means they Lived. THEY LIVED. Matthew 5:4 says Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. I asked God how. Then He says They Lived. You experienced them. You were blessed with interactions with them. Memories of them are with you. Everyone on earth doesn’t have their memories but you do. What a blessing to have been able to spend time with them.

You are their Mother...life happened through you for them. You were blessed to Bring him life. God saw you fit. The Blessing. We all have been created for a purpose and once our purpose is complete God sends for us to come home. It hurts when they leave us.
We will cry.
We will hurt.
We will be angry.
But the blessing is that they lived. They fulfilled their purpose, their memory lives on in you.
Now you have to remember you are the blessing. You are living.
