Help with Katherine's Medical Bills

Hi everyone, back on May 24th Kat came home from work on what seemed to be a normal Wednesday, she was letting the dog out and felt a tear and some pressure in her chest followed by breathing problems. I took her to Kenmore Mercy and after a few hours of some tests it was determined that she needed to get rushed to Mercy Hosptial of Buffalo to undergo urgent open-heart surgery that night! Kat went through a 13-hour procedure, and it was the scariest and longest night of our lives. Since the surgery Kat has fought through numerous battles in the last two weeks including a pneumonia which kept her on a breathing tube until yesterday when it was finally removed! She also managed to remove the breathing tube twice herself (not recommended) during this time which caused a few setbacks. I am happy to say that today she is breathing on her own, her heart is pumping well, and her other organs and body are sore but all intact and functioning well. Kat still has a long recovery road ahead of her but she has the best family and friend support system, and we will get her back to her feistier self :)

Kat has now been in ICU for around 16 days and counting. We are hopefull that we will get her out of ICU soon and eventually into Rehab for a short time before we can get her home. I have had a lot of people ask what they can do to help out and everyone has been amazing during this time by watching the kids, cookings us meals, paying for all the parking down at the hospital and the countless prayers and cards. I have decided to start a GoFundMe to try and help raise some money to help with the hospital bills and rehab costs. Any little bit will help and go a long way to help us out so we can concentrate on Katherine's recovery and less on the mounting hospital costs.
