Help with Mavis's emergency surgery
Donation protected
A few weeks ago, we received a call about a stray cat (now called Mavis) on Liberty Street that had lost most of his tail and was clearly in pain. With the help of the Newburgh Trap Bank, we were able to trap him the next day. Over half of his tail was missing and quite a lot of bone exposed. We immediately went to Flannery Animal Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove (most of) the rest of his tail. He was also neutered & vaccinated.
He was in so much pain before receiving medical care, we thought he was a truly feral cat, but after recovering for several days, he turned into a sweet, gentle boy.
Mavis is one of 200+ cats we have taken off the streets, provided medical care for, and gotten ready for adoption. Please consider a donation to help us continue this work!
