Help With Travel for Medical

Hi everyone, this feels very awful to have to do again after trying to raise money in the past with not much success, but due to added circumstances my mom and I have no choice.

I’m Camilla and my moms name is Margie. I’m 18 years old and I have severe health issues that  began October 2020, but I’ve had symptoms since I was a baby . To name a few, Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Gastroparesis, + getting evaluated for Abdominal Vascular Compression Syndromes. I have a feeding tube and a picc line and I’m completely dependent on IV Nutrition since September 2022. Multiple surgeries Cholecystectomy in 2021 February, Gastrojejunostomy tube placement October 2021, Duodenojejunostomy (a type of SMAS surgery) January 9th 2023 which led to complications and emergency surgery January 11th.

My Duodenojejunostomy complications is where a lot of financial issues got awful. My mom is a single mom and she had to be out of work from January 9th 2023-mid February due to me being admitted to two separate hospitals until February 14th. No pay for over a month, plus many days she’s had to stay home with me after minor procedures that require anesthesia, Er trips, etc. We have spent our Thanksgiving 2023 in the emergency room and Christmas Eve-Christmas day in the er. My symptoms only continue to worsen and we have to look into out of state surgeons and we drive a little over an hour for my appointments which is an expense in itself. We can’t even fly out to out of state surgeons if they say I need to because we don’t have the money for it.

With just us and our 3 dogs. I currently groom dogs on the weekends all day to make money to cover all my dogs food and vet expenses. My mom has had to use credit cards just to get groceries at times. She had to get a car in 2022 because our old truck couldn’t make it to appointments over an hour away so she had to always use a friends car and so she ultimately had to make the decision to get a car so we have transportation to appointments, emergency room, surgeries, etc. We travel to Austin Texas, even Dallas Texas. I am getting evaluated for possible Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome here in Texas (NOT confirmed), I am soon getting a Celiac Plexus Block to confirm the diagnosis. And I am in the process of sending my scans to UW Health in Wisconsin to be evaluated for Nutcracker Syndrome and if my scans show evidence, I need to fly out there and I don’t know how that’ll be possible with inability to afford flight tickets or hotel stays or anything, really.

As if life didn’t put enough on us, we found out that payment for our home has changed. My mom needs to pay $1,500 by March 1st, which she does not have. And after that, payments for our home will go up a bit over a $100 to almost $900 monthly. Which she cannot afford with the amount of monthly payments she already has with bills, gas to and from appointments, +more. To make matters worse, I have a surgery March 19th and two minor procedures being scheduled so it’s all a lot.

I am making this GoFundMe because she needs help. Now more than ever. She’s a total emotional wreck with having to deal with so much at once and we’re just trying to get by. We can’t up and leave to rent an apartment because we have dogs and a move is expensive and my dogs are our whole world. They’re all I have.
Theres going to be lots of expenses that my medical needs are going to need this year. It’s a lot at once. And we would never be the ones to ask for help.

Any money we raise, will go to bills so we can stay in our home and money that will go towards my medical needs and if we need to travel at some point this year. I put the goal of $4000 in terms of raising at least $1,500 so she is able to make the payment for our home for the 1st of March and in hopes to earn more for her bills and my medical needs. This money will not go towards anything else but those two things 1. Bills and 2. Medical needs.

We really appreciate all of your help and any help you can offer. Please share to your families, friends, social medias. Thank you in advance❤️

I share a lot about my health on my [email redacted]mmiillaa._ if you’d like to read up on my story.
