Help with Medical Expenses-DONNA’S Heart Surgery

Hi Family & Friends,
My mom was rushed to the hospital last Thursday morning 8/24 by Ambulance- Her skin was gray & her lips were blue. She had been throwing up for 3 days and we thought it was the flu. We were wrong. After several test were ran, The Dr said my mom had back to back heart attacks. My mom was in excruciating pain and was extremely sick. The more blood work & test that they ran the more we would find out. Her gallbladder had gallstones/ sludge in it & her liver & kidneys were shutting down. They also monitored that her heart had paused a couple times each night for 8 seconds. The Dr wanted to do a procedure on her heart called Cardiac Catheterization.- They needed her to be stable enough to do the procedure.. After a few days she was transferred to another hospital for the Heart Cath.
The Dr stopped the procedure based off of what he found- We received the unexpected news that my Mom has Coronary Artery Disease and will need a triple bypass. (Open heart surgery). Her 3 arteries are diseased & blocked. They need to replace all 3. They are waiting for moms kidneys and liver to improve before the surgery can be completed. She will be in the hospital until she is well enough to have the surgery. They will then transfer her to a 3rd hospital that is more equipped to handle her Heart ♥️ surgery. She will stay another full week or two in the hospital after the surgery. The Dr said she will need at least 30 days of rehabilitation-most likely in a facility. If she doesn’t have to stay in a facility then she will need help at home & have a nurse come in. The recovery time for open heart surgery can be very slow and will take a few months .
As most of you are well aware, My Mom is a strong, beautiful, active, caring and a giving person. She is tough and she is in an incredible amount of pain right now. She is the first person to help when someone is struggling. She needs us all right now.
Many of you have asked how you could help-
My mom just retired from work 2 months ago and she is on a fixed income. The last thing I want her to worry about are all of the medical expenses. We want her focused on getting better and her recovery.
