Shower Access, Hover Round, Medical Bills

Hello my name is Ashley... I am trying to raise money for my mom.

5 years ago she was MISS diagnosed over & over. This started off as a foot ulcer. (Drs. assumed... since she had a smoking history... she "must be" oblivious and dropped a cigarette on her foot. Her foot Doctor would test her for nicotine rather than the narcotics he was prescribing her for pain. Eventually her 2nd toe died. Her foot Doctor said "lets give it a little longer to pull through".... for over a year until she was in the ER once again except this time she had maggots growing in her toe that had been black and dead for weeks now and overlooked by her foot Doctor. She had an emergency toe amputation that night.... In which she was set up to fail as she was miss diagnosed and not on diabetic medication. This never healed. Her foot slowly and painfully disintegrated over time.. She had NO blood flow from that knee down. 3 years of blood clotting, Leg swelling, wrong medications she lost her right leg at the knee. She had many complications with the healing of that amputation.

She then lost part of her right index finger.

Still under the wrong treatment and many Doctors later....

Her left foot started to do the same as her right foot. Her amputated right leg was sent off for medical research so they mystery diagnoses could be found to save her other leg. Suspiciously, it was inconclusive.

My moms leg was taken for research dissection without any benefit.

She lost her other foot and all her toes last year and is now on diabetic medication. She is unable to walk in a prosthetic as the closure from the first amputation at the knee is unstable at the closure site.

 

My mom is now Bound to a crappy chair that is falling apart. She is not being approved for a hover round chair at this time by these same doctors. What was supposed to be a temporary chair 5yrs ago is still the same chair she lives in today. My parents just bought their dream home when this all started. My mom now sleeps in a medical twin bed in the dining room as she can not get up stairs to the bedroom to sleep with her husband. During the past 5 years their family business that they built was slowly lost completely due to all this hardship. There is only a bathroom downstairs she has been taking sponge baths out the sink for 5 years.... shortly after they bought this home everything unexpectedly went down hill.

 

I'm raising money for a downstairs bathroom remodel to give her a wash basin to bath herself properly as there is more medical concerns arising due to inability to keep good hygiene. Also raising for a stair lift installation in their home. and a proper hover round as she may never get to walk again. The rest of the funds will go towards her $200,000 owing in medical bills.

To top this off her home health nurse wrecked her vehicle while taking her to the store last week.

Anything helps. I just need to raise my mom out of this depression... I want to see her smile again. I want to see her go outside and interact with my daughter again.
