Help with Medical Expenses - Candace & Ron Story

Donation protected
My name is Sue Kath and Candace Story has been a close friend for over 10 years.
Her husband, Ron Story, was in a serious auto accident in November 2022, and while he is miraculously alive and thankfully still here with us, he has a LONG journey of medical recovery ahead.
Here is a note from Candace sharing more about Ron’s accident, the injuries he sustained and the extensive medical treatment he has experienced and will continue to experience as he works to regain his ability to walk and physically care for himself:
“Ron was in a serious car accident on 11/26/2022 and had to be cut out of the car. He suffered a brain injury that impairs his short-term memory and word recall. He also had fractures in the C6 and C7 vertebrae that had to be fused surgically and his spinal cord was bruised. Our lives changed in a fraction of a second. He is working hard to learn to walk again, take care of his daily needs and talk without stumbling and remember things from day to day. We are told that it can take months, even a year or more to recover. We have faith that he will recover and be able to walk again. Those who know Ron, know he is persistent and goes above what is expected.
Ron is retired and I am self-employed. I haven’t been able to work for some months and will be limited once we are out of in-patient rehab since I will be his caregiver at home so he can continue with outpatient rehab so necessary for his recovery. While Ron is focused on his daily exercises, I am focused on keeping bills paid and it is getting more and more difficult.”
As Candace mentioned, they are dealing with incredible medical bills coming from this auto accident. Insurance has covered many of the expenses to date, but limits in coverage for some areas of treatment have already been reached. Unfortunately, the areas of care still needed, physical, occupational and speech therapies, are nearing the maximums covered by their insurance as well. The thought of them struggling with the stress of extensive rehabilitation while coping with a serious financial situation has me wanting to do anything I can to help.
Please consider donating to help Candace and Ron, whatever you can do. It will not only bless them, but I would be so grateful too. Please remember them in prayer as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read and donate!
