Tim, as many may know has faced extreme challenges with his health in the past few months, and after numerous emergency trips to hospitals between Alberta to British Columbia,no answers were found. After 10 weeks of battling debilitating pain and trips to emergency care, they went to a private clinic for an mri and then reached out to The Mayo Clinic in Arizona and have been approved for further testing with costs of up to $20,000 just to start. Due to Tim’s health condition he is unable to work and medical bills from the United States are quite high.The Mayo clinics assessment of Tim’s MRI has landed him with having to be treated with very strong intravenous antibiotics 2 times daily (8 hours a day) for the next 6 weeks with many more uncertainties to face with the possibility of spinal surgery to treat his rare and serious diagnosis of Discitis with a mass on his spine. The infectious disease specialists believe the bacterial infection had been picked up in Mexico while on a family vacation in March.
