Help save Mr Britches

Mr Britches Update 4th Jan. 2025

Mr Britches was rushed to the ER last night with a suspected hairball blockage. He has been doing so well this is an unexpected and unfortunate setback. We suspect it's a hairball but don't know for sure. He had x-rays which revealed no foreign objects but hairballs don't show up in x-rays. At this point he is going on his third day without eating or drinking and he's not doing very well but he was able to come home with us last night after his emergency visit. we still aren't 100% sure of what's going on with him but he has had fluids so he won't dehydrate and we are just keeping a close eye at this point. If anybody can help with his vet bills it is so much appreciated. No amount is too small. This sweet boy has gone through a lot over the past year. If you are not familiar with it and are interested in reading his full story it is posted below. Thank you so much in advance for anyone who can help out.

Mr Britches was a stray kitty in need of veterinary care for urinary blockage surgery. He was neutered and had been resting up post surgery when we noticed he wasn't doing too well. When we initially took him to the vet he was sent home with medications and hopes that he would get better but unfortunately we had to rush him to the vet for emergency surgery as he has become totally blocked. He has since been diagnosed with Pandora syndrome/ sterile cystitis.

The simple act of caring to having him neutered has turned into a medical emergency and financial disaster. Paying for his care is more than we can manage at this time so we are asking for donations. Any amount helps and so very much appreciated. For anyone who has donated so far, we and Mr Britches can't thank you enough. About Mr. Britches: Mr. B is a beautiful boy that found us a couple of months ago. He is an unfortunate victim of pet dumping/abandonment and has suffered from past trama. He has been living on the streets ( un-neutered) and he turned up with multiple wounds from animal bites and riddled with fleas. Despite this he is the sweetest most personable cat I have ever met. We have been doing our best to provide for him. After much saving and failed attempts we finally got him neutered and got his vaccinations up to date with hopes that we may eventually be able to find him a home.Once released from hospital, he will be staying in our kitchen until we can get him healthy again. We had to up the needed amount as the bills are piling up. Update: Mr Britches was rushed to emergency again last night. Copy of latest bill below. We will have more info soon. We are doing everything we can to save this beautiful boy.

Thanks again for anyone who can help.
