Help With Mr Wayne's Recovery After Fall on Ice

Hello! My name is Cecilia LaBonte, I'm a mother of two students at Cooper Elementary. With the blessing of other parents at Cooper and Mr Wayne himself (and help from his daughter, Penny Jo Watkins), I started this Go Fund Me to raise funds to help Mr Wayne, our beloved crossing guard at Cooper Elementary. As you probably know, Mr Wayne took a nasty fall on the ice on January 23 while he was setting up the traffic cones, preparing for the morning drop-off to begin. He has since had hip surgery and ongoing physical therapy. This was a sudden medical emergency with many unexpected costs. Mr Wayne is in high spirits and looking forward to returning to his important role, keeping our students and families safe, but he needs to recover fully before he can do that. All funds from this Go Fund Me will go to Mr Wayne, through his daughter Penny Jo Watkins, who is managing the accounts and emails for the Go Fund Me.
