Help with Muffin’s comfort care
Donation protected
Hi everyone! This is Muffin. She is a sweet, spunky gal that has been a part of our family for the past year and a half. We adopted her at just 8 weeks old, so we have been able to watch her grow into such a loving young kitty.
Unfortunately, we recently found out that she has a type of genetic chronic kidney disease. This was extremely unexpected and there were never any signs until one day she was just not herself. We took her in to the emergency vet where she was hospitalized and found to be in end stage kidney failure.
We are not sure how much time we have left with her, but are willing to do whatever it takes to give her that time and comfortable care.
After multiple nights in the hospital, her prognosis is still undetermined, so the next steps are to bring her home to spend time with her brother Albert and be in her safe space. The hope is that this home care will extend her life and give her some semblance of normalcy.
At this point, we have already maxed out our care credit on hospitalization and are now looking at high costs of special diet and home subcutaneous fluid to manage her symptoms.
We are kindly asking for any help covering some of the costs associated with bringing her home and keeping her happy and comfortable for as long as she decides to stay.
