Help with my Father’s Memorial and Travel Fees
Donation protected
Hi guys, on 11/22 I unfortunately loss my father to him being sick. Most don’t know, but my father and mother suffered from drug addiction and alcohol abuse almost my entire life. Which resulted in my grandmother raising me, and them not being physically present in my life. Regardless of my parents addictions, I still love them unconditionally and maintained a relationship with them via phone.
He wasn’t s perfect man, but he did whatever he had to do by all means necessary to help his family. He still maintained that mentality of him being the oldest brother, or the person who helped in situations rather than receiving. Last year, my father’s RV blew up due to a electrical fire and caused him to be displaced. My father was a very prideful man and honestly would rarely accept any help from anyone, even me. But my mother continued to look out for him although she barely had anything herself. She was actually helping him fill out paperwork for housing. She probably was one of the few people he would actually accept help from and listen to. This past week my mother explained to me that he was feeling very nauseated to the point where he could not keep down solid food. An ambulance was called to take him to the hospital but he refused to go. This Tuesday I got a call from my uncle, saying my father had passed away.
My family does not have much to help when it comes to the Financial responsibility of handling my fathers affairs of his death. Regardless of our relationship, I’ve decided to step up to do as much as I can because at the end of the day he was my father.
Ive been informed that the Baltimore medical examiner is currently backlog. It might be weeks until they complete the autopsy, which is delaying the memorial. This is becoming such a difficult situation because I live in Texas so I am literally waiting for the call and possibly having to leave suddenly with the chance of airfare being extremely high. If you are able to help it any kind of way it would surely be appreciated. I don’t care if it’s a penny, 50 cent or a dollar. anything will help. Thank you.
